Job Description:
Description We are currently seeking an experienced Asphalt Paver Operator to join our growing team in the construction industry. As an Asphalt Paver Operator, you will play a key role in operating and maintaining paving equipment to ensure the successful completion of projects. This is a hands-on position that requires attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Responsibilities Operate and control the asphalt paving machine to lay smooth, high-quality asphalt surfaces Monitor the asphalt mixture flow, heat, and thickness to ensure proper application Collaborate with the construction crew to coordinate paving operations and maximize productivity Conduct pre and post-operational checks on equipment to identify and address any potential issues or maintenance needs Perform minor repairs and adjustments to the paving machine to maintain optimal performance Follow safety protocols and ensure a safe work environment for yourself and the crew Maintain accurate records of daily activities, including materials used and work performed Requirements Minimum of [3 years] experience operating asphalt paving equipment in the construction industry Proficient in the operation and maintenance of asphalt pavers, including knowledge of various models and manufacturers Strong attention to detail and quality control to achieve smooth and durable asphalt surfaces Ability to work effectively in a team environment, communicating and collaborating with crew members Excellent problem-solving skills to troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and make necessary adjustments Knowledge of safety regulations and the ability to adhere to them at all times Physically fit and able to perform physically demanding tasks such as standing, stooping, and lifting heavy objects.

Description We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Estimator for residential or commercial asphalt paving to join our construction team. As an Estimator, you will play a critical role in accurately assessing project costs and providing our clients with accurate and competitive bids. Responsibilities Analyzing project plans and specifications to determine the scope of work - Preparing detailed estimates for materials, labor, and equipment - Gathering and assessing quotes from subcontractors and suppliers - Creating comprehensive cost breakdowns and itemized reports - Collaborating with project managers and engineers to ensure accurate estimates - Reviewing project documentation and conducting site visits to evaluate potential risks - Keeping up-to-date with industry trends and pricing fluctuations Requirements Proven experience as an Estimator in the residential or commercial asphalt paving industry - In-depth knowledge of construction techniques and processes - Strong mathematical and analytical skills - Proficiency in using estimating software and tools - Excellent communication and negotiation skills - Ability to work well under pressure and meet strict deadlines - Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy This is base salary WITH COMMISSION
