OSHA# 510 Occupational Safety and Health Standards for the Construction Industry

Course Description

This course covers OSHA Standards, policies, and procedures in the construction industry. Topics include scope and application of the OSHA construction standards, construction safety and health principles, and special emphasis on those areas in construction which are most hazardous. Upon course completion students will have the ability to define construction terms found in the OSHA Construction Standards, identify hazards which occur in the construction industry, locate and determine appropriate OSHA Construction Standards, policies, and procedures, and describe the use of the OSHA Construction Standards and regulations to supplement an ongoing safety and health program.

Minimum student contact hours: 26

Prerequisites: None

As a student in this course, you will be required to pass a knowledge base test to receive your course completion certificate. If you do not pass the test, you will receive a letter of attendance only. Please note that a refund will not be issued if you do not pass the test.

All participants must bring a current copy of the OSHA construction regulations, 29 CFR 1926, to the course.

Gain essential knowledge and skills with this 4-hour frame scaffolding safety class! Designed to meet OSHA's scaffold standards, this training will help you identify and minimize hazards associated with welded frame scaffolding, tackle electrical, fall, and falling object risks, and the correct procedures for erecting, maintaining, and disassembling protection systems. You'll also learn the proper use of scaffolds, safe material handling techniques, and how the competent person calculates load capacities effectively. Perfect for ensuring safety on the job, this course is a must for anyone working with frame scaffolding.

This training will be held at Syracuse Builders Exchange located at 6563 Ridings Road, Syracuse NY 13206.

Cost for this class is $25.00 for SBE Member Firms and $40.00 for Non-Members. Payments cannot be submitted at the time of registration. An invoice will be emailed to you separately, which will include a link for payment. Checks should be made payable to Syracuse Builders Exchange and mailed to 6563 Ridings Road, Syracuse, NY 13206.
