We are pleased to inform you we have set up a Zoom Class with our DEC Instructor, Mark Burger of Onondaga County Soil & Water Conservation District and he will be conducting the 4-Hour Erosion & Sediment Control course virtually for SBE members.

We would like to extend an invitation to you to attend the virtual training session on JULY 15, 2020 - 8:30 a.m. – 12:30p.m. All participants will need to have the Zoom app downloaded to their device with video and audio capability in order to attend. No attendees will be allowed to participate without video and audio AND all attendees must view on separate devices. No group viewings are allowed.

NYS Energy Code - What Contractors Need To Know - Zoom Session

July 29, 2020 - 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.

Description:

The Energy Code, like all the other codes in the NYS code family, was updated on May 12, 2020. Although the E-Code changes were relatively incremental, there is widespread lack of understanding of important aspects of both the Commercial and Residential portions of the code. This is true of architects, engineers, owners, contractors, and even some code enforcement officials. Having clarity about the basics of the Energy Code, and what contractors need to know in particular, can avoid confusion and problems, and lead to better performing buildings. This class does not provide CEU credits. Informational only.

Bio:

Jim D'Aloisio is President of Klepper, Hahn & Hyatt, a structural engineering, landscape architecture, and building envelope services firm in East Syracuse. Jim has developed and delivered Energy Code presentations to a wide variety of audiences, including over 30 day-long sessions sponsored by NYSERDA and the Urban Green Council.
